Suzlon Group will invest Rs 200 crore for a wind-blade factory in Tamil Nadu on 40 acres along Tuticorin-Melakarandai Highway, with two lines making S175 5 MW turbines and ∼1 GW capacity, operational by early 2027 and export-ready. The digital plant will create 2,000 jobs. Co-founder Girish Tanti said Suzlon invested Rs 775 crore in state over three decades with 2,000 direct and 1,500 indirect jobs, and new unit adds 500 direct, 1,500 indirect jobs as part of Rs 2,500 crore capex to quadruple sales to 10 GW by FY31.
