Stanwell has officially commissioned its first dispatchable energy storage project, the Tarong Battery, near Nanango, Queensland. The $514 million, 300 MW battery uses 164 Tesla Megapacks to store and dispatch electricity to the National Electricity Market, boosting Tarong Power Station’s capacity to 2.
