South Korea to launch its first nuclear-powered hydrogen production facility this October

South Korea is set to begin construction of its first nuclear-powered hydrogen production plant in October 2025. The facility, located in Sinam-ri, Ulju-gun, will utilize electricity from nearby nuclear power plants to produce hydrogen via low-temperature electrolysis. With a capacity of 10 MW, it aims to produce over four tons of hydrogen daily.
