Selangor has started construction of a 300 MW floating solar farm in Bestari Jaya, one of Southeast Asia’s largest such projects. Led by a consortium headed by Edra Power Holdings, the RM1 billion LSS 5 project spans 430 hectares, with over 80% using floating solar technology. Scheduled for completion by July 2027, it will supply stable renewable energy to the national grid while protecting water quality, supporting industrial growth, and redeveloping former mining land.
