On June 30, 2025, SECI issued a tender for a 600 MW/1200 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System under Tranche-2 of the VGF scheme. The initiative supports India’s push for renewable energy integration and grid stability. Two tenders will be released: one for selecting a BESS supplier with maintenance responsibility and another for Balance of System components.
