The SECI announced winners of its Tranche XVII auction to develop 2000 MW of ISTS-connected solar projects with 1 GW/4 GWh energy storage. NTPC, Hero Solar, Sembcorp, Solarcraft, and Reliance Power secured capacities ranging from 150 MW to 930 MW, with tariffs of INR 3.523/kWh - 3.53/kWh. India aims to expand Solar and Wind capacity to 30-35 GW in 2024-2025, targeting 500 GW by 2030.
