Samsung SDI has signed a 1 GWh supply deal for US-made NCA battery storage with utility and IPP Alpha Omega Power. Under the agreement, its Michigan-based subsidiary will deliver Samsung Battery Box 1.7 containerized storage for projects in WECC and ERCOT markets starting construction in 2027, with cells and modules made at its StarPlus Energy plant in Kokomo, Indiana, delivery before end-2026.
