RWE has launched the Schönau Solar Farm in Wildenfels, Saxony, marking its first photovoltaic project in the region. With 36,000 Solar Modules, it generates 21 million kWh of green energy annually, powering 6,700 households. The 20-hectare site uses bifacial modules for enhanced efficiency. Local citizens benefit from a savings bond and income from energy production, while eco-friendly practices, like sheep grazing and wildlife habitats, are incorporated.
