Ørsted has filed plans for an offshore wind project of up to 2 GW in Taiwan, located about 38 km offshore. The proposed development would expand the company’s presence in Taiwan’s growing offshore wind sector and support the country’s renewable energy ambitions. The project is expected to contribute significant new clean-power capacity while helping meet rising electricity demand and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
