Pralhad Joshi, the minister responsible for coal, arrived in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand to evaluate the rehabilitation of the people living in the Jharia mines fire region and to examine the coal output of Eastern Coalfield Limited (ECL) and Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL). The minister announced that the government is trying to expand the nation's coking coal production.
