Scientists at the National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Zhejiang Ocean University have developed a new 2D material designed to significantly improve the efficiency of green hydrogen production. The material, known as carbon nitride, is arranged in a Janus homojunction design, where two layers are stacked together—one rich in nitrogen and the other in carbon.
