Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners secured AU$722 million (US$452 million) in debt financing for the first two stages of its Supernode energy storage project in Queensland, Australia. The project, consisting of three stages, will provide up to 760MW/3,096MWh of storage capacity. The financing, supported by banks like Bank of America and Deutsche Bank, highlights the project’s strategic importance in Queensland’s energy transition, with Origin Energy and Stanwell Corporation as key off-takers.
