A Qatar-led consortium, including UCC Holding and international partners, will develop a 1 GW Solar Power plant in southern Syria as part of a $7-billion agreement with the Syrian government. The deal also includes constructing four combined-cycle gas turbine power plants totaling 4 GW across Traifawi, Zayzoun, Deir-Azzour, and Mehardeh.
