Portugal will invest up to €400 million ($466 million) to enhance electricity grid management and expand battery storage after an April blackout affected Spain and Portugal. €137 million will upgrade grid control to handle variable renewable sources like wind and solar. Grid operator REN will install voltage-regulating and current-measuring equipment.
