Acc. to PIB, PM E-DRIVE scheme, which came into effect on October 1, and will remain in force till March 31, 2026, will accelerate EV adoption, develop charging infrastructure and develop a strong domestic EV manufacturing ecosystem. Complimentary initiatives like Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme will further boost the goals, aligning with India’s ambitious net-zero target for 2070.
