Buhawind Energy Northern Luzon Corp. (BENLC), a joint venture between PGEC and Copenhagen Energy, secured approval from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) for its 2,000 MW offshore wind project in Ilocos Norte. The Facilities Study defines integration requirements into the national grid via the planned 500 kV Burgos Substation.
