Peru Achieves 1,015 MW Wind Power Capacity

Peru’s installed wind power capacity has reached 1,015 MW across ten operational farms, mainly along the coast, delivering 3,427 GWh to the national grid. Key sites include the 294-MW Punta Lomitas and 177-MW Wayra Extension farms. The energy ministry highlights Peru’s vast onshore wind potential of 20 GW, with only about 5% utilized, signaling significant room for growth.
