Origin Energy has approved an expansion of its Eraring Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), set to become Australia's largest. The expansion will increase the Project’s Energy Storage from 1,070 MWh to 1,770 MWh, with a total capacity of 2800 MWh by 2027. This move supports the transition from coal to Renewable Energy, enhancing grid stability with Wärtsilä’s advanced technology.
