Oman's Naqaa wins Botswana's 500MW Solar BESS Project

Omans's Naqaa Sustainable Energy LLC has been selected by the Government of Botswana to develop a 500 MW solar PV project with integrated battery storage in Maun, marking the country’s largest solar initiative. The project will be executed under a long-term concession. It follows strategic agreements between Oman and Botswana to develop up to 3 GW of clean energy, strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing large-scale renewable deployment in Africa.
