The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) ruled that MSEDCL cannot levy wheeling charges and losses on Solar Open Access consumers not using its distribution network. It ordered refunds and billing adjustments for companies like Saarloha, CIE Automotive, and Mahindra. MSEDCL was also fined ₹100,000 for undue charges.
