NGEN has begun construction of a 170 MWh BESS in Upper Austria, expected to enter commercial operation in 2026, supporting renewable integration and grid flexibility. Meanwhile, Foresight Group has invested in German BESS developer Mirai Power to expand its 12.5 GW project pipeline beyond Germany.
