NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited EPC bids for an 800 MW / 3,200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at Khavda, Gujarat. The turnkey project includes design, supply, installation, commissioning, and 15-year O&M. The BESS must have a 25-year design life, minimum 10,000 cycles, 80% round-trip efficiency, and 98% annual availability.
