Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co (MSEDCL) has issued a 2000 MW/4000 MWh global tender for standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) under the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) scheme, making it the third such tender after Rajasthan and Gujarat. The tender, part of MSEDCL’s ₹20,000 crore clean energy plan, supports Maharashtra’s 2026 renewable goals.
