Morocco has secured $114 million funding from the African Development Bank for a new electric vehicle battery factory in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra free trade zone. Led by China’s Gotion High-Tech, the integrated plant will manufacture lithium iron phosphate batteries with an initial capacity of 10 GWh/year, expandable to 100 GWh/year.
