MNRE has directed all ALMM-listed wind turbine OEMs to submit cybersecurity and data localisation compliance details by August 31, 2026. The revised rules require turbine-related data centres and servers to be located in India, while real-time operational data cannot be transferred overseas. Turbine control must be managed exclusively from Indian facilities, with OEMs providing control-centre details and safeguards.
