The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has confirmed that no blanket extension of the ALMM List-II compliance deadline beyond 1 June 2026 will be granted. From that date, eligible solar projects must use ALMM List-I modules and ALMM List-II cells. Instead, MNRE has introduced a case-by-case exemption mechanism for projects that have either fully installed modules or completed substantial development milestones before the deadline.
