The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) clarified that renewable energy projects under SIGHT Mode 2A and 2B, supplying power exclusively for green hydrogen and derivatives, are exempt from using solar cells from ALMM List-II. The exemption applies only if bids were submitted on or before August 31, 2025, regardless of commissioning date.
