Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has clarified that no No-Objection Certificate (NOC) is required under FDRE guidelines when Energy Storage Systems (ESS) discharge power charged from non-renewable sources before renewable project commissioning. Such power does not qualify as renewable energy and cannot be supplied under PPAs.
