The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) approved a ₹2.79/kWh tariff for 400 MW Solar Power procurement by MSEDCL from Avaada Energy Pvt. Ltd. for 25 years. The tariff, finalized after a competitive reverse auction, is lower than prior rates and MSEDCL’s average power purchase cost.
