Abu Dhabi-based Masdar has signed a PPA for a 200 MW floating solar project at Chereh Dam, Malaysia, in partnership with Citaglobal and Tiza Global. Valued over $208 million, the 950-acre plant will power 100,000+ homes using non-recourse project finance and international lenders. Awarded under Malaysia’s fifth large-scale solar program, it marks Masdar’s Malaysian market entry and its largest global floating solar asset, following a 10 GW renewable energy roadmap agreement.
