LG Energy Solution (South Korea) has demonstrated an all-solid-state battery using a sulfur-based cathode, developed through its Frontier Research Lab in collaboration with the University of California, San Diego. The architecture replaces liquid electrolytes with solid electrolytes, improving energy density, safety, and cost potential by using abundant sulfur materials.
