The Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission has approved Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd’s proposal to implement a 250 MW/500 MWh grid-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Brahmapuram 220 kV substation in Ernakulam under the PSDF-backed Viability Gap Funding scheme. The Commission adopted the competitively discovered tariff of ₹1.
