KREDL Invites Bids for 200 MW Battery Energy Storage Project in Karnataka

Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) has invited bids to develop a 200 MW/400 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Huliyurdurga KPTCL substation under the Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model through tariff-based competitive bidding. The project, supported by Viability Gap Funding (VGF) of ₹18 lakh/MWh, will provide on-demand energy storage services to Karnataka ESCOMs.
