Kerala is set to launch South India’s first green hydrogen plant and refuelling station at Kochi airport, developed by BPCL and CIAL. Initially producing 80 kg/day, it will power Kochi Water Metro and e-feeder buses. Hydrogen ferries and hydrogen-powered buses are also being considered, supported by falling hydrogen costs and ANERT subsidies.
