Saudi Arabia's Researchers at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) have developed a record-breaking triple-junction perovskite-perovskite-silicon solar cell with 28.7% efficiency over a 1 cm² area. By adding 3-ammonium propionic acid (3A⁺) to the perovskite structure, they stabilized both mid- and wide-bandgap layers, reducing degradation and improving charge transport.
