In a sustainability push, the Karnataka Lake Conservation Authority approved floating solar panels in Dodda Bommasandra and Rachenahalli lakes, Bengaluru. The pilot, led by BBMP’s Climate Action Cell, aims to generate 1 MW of power initially, reduce water evaporation, and support lake upkeep. Covering 10% of the lake surface could yield 20 MW.
