Chinese automotive firm Kandi Technologies and battery maker CBAK Energy Technology are partnering to build two lithium battery facilities in the US, locations under review. The near-term project focuses on battery pack assembly led by Kandi (90% equity), while the longer-term battery cell plant, led by CBAK (90% equity), will follow.
