TDK Corporation has launched HVC28 and HVC29 series gas-filled high-voltage DC contactors with optional mechanical auxiliary contact, available in 300A, 400A, 500A and 600A continuous ratings. HVC28 is for automotive systems up to 1000V with 16 kA/5ms short-circuit capability and 1600A/1000V cut-off, ideal for xEV battery disconnect units, HV junction boxes, traction batteries, commercial vehicles and DC fast-charging.
