Battery maker CATL will supply 2.2 GWh of battery systems for a solar power project in Indonesia’s Riau Islands, exporting energy to Singapore. The 2 GW solar farm and 4.4 GWh storage system are led by Vanda RE. CATL will manufacture batteries locally, supporting Indonesia’s domestic content policy.
