India is expected to add 7.5–8 GW of wind energy capacity in FY2026–27, following more than 6 GW added in FY2025–26, according to MNRE Joint Secretary Rajesh Kulhari. With wind projects requiring around ₹7 crore per MW, annual additions of 7 GW could attract approximately ₹49,000 crore in investment.
