In the last three years, Indian recyclers have collected 2,570.26 metric tonnes of lithium-ion waste batteries from Electric Vehicles (EVs), as reported by Union Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh. The country generated 17.78 lakh metric tonnes of electronic waste in 2023-24, a 10.5% increase from the previous year.
