The Indian government released guidelines to install 72,300 public EV charging stations under the ₹10,900 crore PM E-DRIVE scheme. It allocates ₹2,000 crore for charging infrastructure with tiered subsidies, covering government offices, highways, public hubs, and commercial areas. Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd will oversee deployment via a National Unified EV Charging Hub app.
