India is preparing a ₹12,000 crore incentive scheme to promote domestic manufacturing of advanced battery components, including cathode active materials (CAM), anode active materials (AAM), electrolysers, and copper foil separators. The initiative aims to reduce import dependence and strengthen local battery supply chains for electric vehicles, energy storage, defence, and space applications.
