Global wind power reached 1,299 GW in 2025 after record 165 GW additions, a 40% rise, says GWEC. Asia Pacific led with 80% of installations, driven by China and India adding over 126 GW. China installed more than 120 GW, while India nearly doubled to 6.3 GW, becoming third-largest contributor globally.
