India has awarded around 30,000 tonnes per year of green hydrogen supply contracts across four state-owned refinery projects. Indian Oil’s Panipat, BPCL’s Bina, HPCL’s Visakhapatnam and Numaligarh Refinery will replace fossil-based hydrogen with renewable hydrogen in refinery operations. Contracted capacities are 10,000, 5,000, 5,000 and 10,000 tonnes annually, respectively.
