I Squared Capital has launched Cube Grid, a $1 billion platform to invest in India’s power transmission sector. The platform will develop transmission assets with Dineshchandra Group and has already secured seed assets spanning over 1,450 circuit kilometres. The initiative targets India’s expanding grid infrastructure market, which is expected to require $120 billion in investment over the next five to seven years to support renewable integration, rising electricity demand, and long-term energy security.
