Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) conducted a 500 MW/1,000 MWh BESS auction, attracting a lowest bid tariff of INR 2.80 lakh/MW/month, 25% lower than the previous tariff. Solarworld Energy Solutions won 200 MW at this tariff, while H.G. Infra Engineering secured 300 MW at INR 2.85 lakh/MW/month. The projects, with no Viability Gap Funding, must be set up in Gujarat, connected to the Intra-State Transmission System, and ensure 95% System availability with 85% round-trip efficiency.
