The Department of Fertilisers has unveiled a roadmap to boost green urea production in India, reducing import dependence and emissions. The plan includes establishing green urea plants, ₹19,744 crore support from MNRE for green energy infrastructure, and annual procurement of 7.24 lakh metric tonnes of green ammonia through SECI under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
