A coalition of industry associations, known as the Hydrogen Eight initiative, is urging the German government to include offshore hydrogen production in its wind expansion strategy. They highlight the offshore spatial development plan (FEP) lacks provisions for offshore electrolysis, missing an opportunity to enhance hydrogen supply and wind energy efficiency.
