GERC approved GETCO's petition to use surplus land at substations for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Projects. This decision aims to enhance energy reliability by storing Renewable Energy for peak demand. The BESS projects will not interfere with GETCO’s transmission operations, and all installations must meet safety standards.
